Comments:
After the thaw on Saturday, we ended up getting a few inches of snow Sunday night. This really helped out trail 6 East. Trail 1 was still rough for the first few miles and then when we crossed into Michigan it was perfect!

Comments:
There was a warm-up on Saturday, we rode from Mercer, (well groomed) and rode into winchester to presque isle. as soon as we entered the winchester/presque isle system, we had terrible trails that obviously were not groomed the night before. VERY ROUGH TRAILS!!!!!! The trail boss should be ashamed.

Destinations:
There are great destinations all throughout the area, including The Bear Bar, Wilderness Inn, also, you can enjoy the P.I. Pub or Skyviewlodge. Any of these are great destinations.

Comments:
The temperature ended up getting up to 40 degrees today and it was really tough on the trails. Any spots that were exposed to the sun started to get "snirt" (snow and dirt). They are calling for more snow tonight, hopefully we get it! The trails could really use it!

Comments:
We took trail 6 East in to Presque Isle, WI and got gas. This trail was pretty beat since it wasn't groomed last night and a decent volume of traffic. It is supposed to get up to 40 degrees tomorrow, so hopefully the sun isn't too hard on the trails!

Destinations:
One of our sleds runs premium fuel ..... in Presque Isle they get 2.39/gal for 93 octane. Later in the day we noticed that the Marenisco Mini mart was charging 1.99/gal for 91 octane. It's well worth stopping in Marenisco!

Birch Lake Lodge always has good food, but very spotty service! If you have a few hours to kill and want some good food, check it out. If you are short on time and want good food, head down the road to Skyview Lodge!

Comments:
This trail was in very good shape compared to how it usually is. There was plenty of snow and if it wasn't beat up from the weekend traffic, it would have been perfect. We got on at Birch Lake Lodge and rode it in to the corner store in Presque Isle, Wisconsin.

Destinations:
Skyview always has great food and current snowmobiling information. Be sure to stop in and say hello.

Comments:
These trails were in better shape than when we left earlier in the day. Mainly because the groomer had just come through. There were a few icy spots in the corners, but other than that, it was a good ride. Tomorrow it's supposed to warm up, so I hope the trails can hold up.

This trail is known to get a lot of traffic and when it does it can get pretty beat up. Today it was in pretty decent shape. I'm sure once the weekend rolls around it might get a little rough.

Comments:
We rode out of Winchester through Presque Isle and then headed north on trail 1. The trip up there was a bit rough in sections, but then we crossed paths with the groomer. After that it was smooth as glass! We stopped in to the Gogebic Lodge for a bit and then headed back. On the way back, almost the whole trail was double groomed. If you are sitting home thinking about making the trip up, you are missing out! We were here last year during the same week and there were twice as many sleds on the trails, so it looks like many of you chose to stay home.
