Comments:
Trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield is poor to fair. Most of the wet spots are frozen but pretty thin on snow. Trail 8 From Wakefield heading to Bergland was groomed yesterday, it is mud and water mess. Not sure when they will try and groom it again. Trail 11 N. out of Bessemer will not be groomed untill two beaver dams can be blown that cover the trail. I'm not sure if groomer can get through there so they are going to wait untill the dams are blown. They are working on it to get it done as soon as possible, the club doesn't need the groomer to get stuck in a swamp. Just a side note: there is plenty of snow in the Porkies area from what I have heard. Trail 11 S. going to Winchester is temporarily closed due to logging and not enough snow. Trail 2 from Wakefield to Marinesco will be groomed today to see how much snow and water there is. As for the rest of the trail system in the Western Up I have not heard what the other clubs are doing as its still early in the season.
